We spoke with Rachel More-Oshodi, CEO and Managing Director of ARM-Harith Infrastructure Investment Limited, who recently participated in the Mission 300 Africa Energy Summit. Rachel shared her insights on Africa's infrastructure landscape, particularly addressing findings from AVCA's report, 'Private Capital Investment in Africa's Infrastructure'.

Over 600 million Africans lack access to electricity. The Mission 300 Africa Energy Summit set a bold target: delivering power to 300 million people by 2030. With US$50bn+ pledged and major policy reforms in motion, private capital is pivotal in reshaping Africa’s energy landscape.

The Private Equity (PE) and Venture Capital (VC) space have seen significant strides in Nigeria in recent years.  The past decade has seen a surge in these investments, resulting in over 450 reported deals in 2023 and a total deal value surpassing $5.9 billion, as highlighted in the African Private Equity and Venture Capital Association’s (AVCA) 2023 Africa Private Equity Activity Report.
